Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you consider a rent-to-own agreement.

The exact rights and obligations come from the signed contract and applicable law. These answers explain the general model and Yortana’s role, but they are not legal or financial advice.

What is rent-to-own?

Rent-to-own combines occupancy of a home with a contractual route to purchase it later. The agreement defines whether payments create purchase credits, how the price is set, and when a purchase may or must happen. Read the full process guide.

Does every monthly payment build ownership?

No. Only the amount the contract expressly treats as a purchase credit can count toward the future price, and the agreement must explain what happens to that credit if plans change.

Do buyers need a down payment?

It depends on the proposed arrangement. Some require an option payment, deposit, or other upfront amount, while others may not. Buyers should also budget for inspections, advice, taxes, and completion costs.

What happens if the buyer does not purchase?

The contract and applicable law determine the result. Ordinary rent is usually not refundable, while the treatment of deposits or purchase credits depends on their wording, the reason the arrangement ended, and local rules.

What does Yortana cost?

Buyers and private sellers remain free under the published model. Professional agency workspaces use recurring subscriptions. Closing and success fees are currently disabled. See professional pricing.

Is Yortana a bank, broker, or legal adviser?

No. Yortana is a technology platform, not a bank, lender, real-estate broker, notary, or law firm. It does not provide financial or legal advice or guarantee a transaction.

Can real-estate agencies use Yortana?

Yes. Agencies can explore a professional workspace for team, listing, inquiry, and portfolio workflows. Product access, imports, partner acceptance, and compatibility remain subject to verification. See the agency overview.

Where is Yortana available?

Yortana’s launch is Italy-focused and available in Italian and English. The web and desktop experience is primary, with essential mobile support. Specific products, listings, and transaction support can vary by market.

Before entering an agreement, buyers and sellers should obtain independent advice and verify identity, authority, property condition, title, affordability, tax, and local formalities.
